This film is a strand of a broader, ongoing line of enquiry into the experiences of m*thers in the arts, including m*ther-artists and audiences/communities of m*thers. The film was developed from conversations had during and after the m*ther-artists conversations programme which I curated in Feb-March 2023. The programme was itself developed from a conversation I hosted with Magdalena Kallenberger of MATERNAL FANTASIES for Culture Collective's International Perspective's series. As part of the m*ther-artists conversation programme, the network were invited to contribute to a resource list about the experiences of, and for m*ther-artists. I also produced a piece of writing, Affirming Mother-Artists, reflecting on the experience of hosting the talks.

I send out sporadic emails to this small network of m*ther-artists with updates on Glasgow, Scotland and UK projects and activity relating to m*ther-artists. If you would like to be added to this, please sign up to mailing list.
